Alabama has always been home to me. I have lived in three cities across the state, from Daphne at its southernmost point to Huntsville in North Alabama. My family moved to Alabama in 2000, when I was nine years old, and I lived there until I moved to Rochester, New York at 23.
Though I’ve since returned to the South and now live in Georgia, Alabama will always feel like home.
In the summer of 2025, while driving through Alabama’s smallest towns, I felt compelled to capture the beauty of the state and the people who also call it home. What I’m calling 'Project Alabama'—still very much in its infancy—is a photographic journey dedicated to doing just that.
The ultimate goal is to create a book showcasing the photographs collected along the way. As I make this journey, I’ll be sharing images here as they’re captured.
I hope you’ll join me on this road ahead. Thank you for being part of it—I truly hope you enjoy the work.

Unknown town
I pulled into a nearby parking lot to this house to check an email containing film scans from a roll of film I was desperate to look at (only to find out my film was messed up). I saw this place and decided to walk to it to snap a photo and mistakenly did not look for a sign with the town name.

Roanoke
Stopped for lunch.
If you would like to donate to this project, anything is far beyond appreciated and I will be sure to give credit to you in the book.
Thank you.
